We teach beginning knitting, crocheting, and yarn management and a variety of other classes. People of all ages and skill levels are welcome to come learn and knit with us, and we'd love to get to know you in the process.

Beginning Knitting classes with Jacqui Wright

In this class you will learn:

  1. Cast on
  2. Knit stitch
  3. Purl stitch
  4. Binding off
  5. Weaving in ends

These five steps are the foundation to everything you will need to become the knitter of your dreams.

Yarn Management Class with Lorena Messenger

Our yarn management class is one of our most booked classes here at Lowlander as it caters to beginners and those who already knit. . Lorena is one of the most passionate knitters I know and it reflects in her teaching, she is one of the best and we are so lucky to have her teach here. This class is so popular it got a whole new face lift. This class now has a four block system so you can plug into what block you need

 

YM 101 Getting Started

This session is geared toward those who have just completed the beginner knitting lessons

What’s covered in this class:

        * Useful books for your library

        *Needles- types and purpose

        *Yarn- types, when/what to use, getting it ready

        *Books/Website/Blogs- a good starting point

        *Tools- those notions that really do help.
